Cancelled as of new Mayor Rob Ford (since October 2010) The Sheppard East Light Rail project has begun the first major phase of construction. Please find attached a newsletter that explains the work underway. The newsletter is also available online at: http://www3.ttc.ca/About_the_TTC/Projects_and_initiatives/Transit_city/Current_Projects/index.jsp. To provide local access to project staff and to ensure local business owners and residents can have their questions answered in person, Transit City has opened a Sheppard East LRT Community Office. The office is located in Agincourt near Midland Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East at 19 Glen Watford Drive (one block east of Midland Avenue, on the north side of Sheppard Ave East). Please drop by to learn more about the project. For the remainder of 2010, staff will be on hand Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and on Wednesdays from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.
